If you are heading to San Diego for SfN (Neuroscience 2018) then we look forward to seeing you and welcome you to our booth – 601 – where we will have the latest tools to help with your MCAO/ stroke setups, or CSD experiments!
If you’ve not been before, SfN is the largest show of it’s type in the world. Expect 100’s of exhibitors and 1000’s of abstracts / presentations. Fortunately SfN offer a meeting planner to make sure you don’t miss a thing…
As for San Diego – this is one of our favourite locations. Warm, sunny weather is virtually guaranteed.
If you have spare time and need recommendations, we would normally suggest watching either the Padres (Baseball at Petco Park) or the Gulls (Ice Hockey near Mission Valley Mall). However, neither are playing to coincide with SfN so you could head to Mission Valley Mall anyway for the shopping and stop at the Gordon Biersch Brewery for eats and drinks.
The Historic Gas Lamp quarter is right by the convention centre and features numerous restaurants (Rei Do Gado Brazillian BBQ is a favourite – awesome salad bar too!).
If you want some waterside action, just head South West out of the convention centre to South Embarcadero and turn right! Walk for five minutes and you’ll find street entertainers, market type stalls and again – bars and restaurants – Try upstairs at the Harbor House for great seafood and views!

Finally – It is San Diego Beer week, running 2-11 November organised by the San Diego Brewers Guild. Check out all the special events at www.sdbeer.com!
