is a new competence based course offering in-depth training from leading experts in burn assessment using moorLDI2-BI. The course is intended for clinical users of the moorLDI2-BI system and covers all aspects of the correct use of the moorLDI2-BI including laser safety, practical scanning, image interpretation and confounding factors.
Day1: Scanning and Data Acquisition with moorLDI2-BI
Follow on half day: Advanced Clinical Assessment
Written assessment papers will be set as part of the taught programme to assess knowledge & understanding in the correct & safe use of the moorLDI2-BI system.
Professional Body Accreditation & Recognition for this course being sought from BAPS and BBA.
Who should attend? Any Nursing, Clinical Staff, Consultants who are currently using or plan to use moorLDI2-BI within a Burn Unit.
Who is operating the course? The course and assessment is administered by The Laser Training & Education Centre, Nottingham on behalf of Moor Instruments Ltd. The course is delivered by Staff of the Royal Infirmary Newcastle, where laser Doppler Imaging has been in use for nearly 15 years for Burn Assessment.

How many delegates will be on the course? We plan for groups of no more than 10, no less than four to ensure everyone attending has sufficient 'hands on time' during practical sessions.
